Is prayer sometimes frustrating to you? Do you pray for things and and then nothing seems to happen? Have you wondered why? Sometimes our disappointment with God and in prayer is because God is not committed to fulfilling our expectations the way we think He should. Maybe He's up to something else that we need to learn more about.

Someone once said that there was no such thing as an unanswered prayer; just prayers that God answered differently than what we'd requested of Him. God always answers prayers in the way that He knows is best, not in the way that we think is best. It's up to us to learn to trust His heart more fully even when we don't understand His answers.

Many people pray, asking God to give them what they want. But when that doesn't happen, then they begin to question what the purpose is of prayer. Prayer is less about getting God to comply with my requests as it is about asking God to change me in the process of conversing with Him.

I had the pure joy and privilege of speaking the message at Church in the Park in Houston, TX this weekend. This ministry seeks to bring Christ to the homeless in downtown Houston, providing worship music, a Bible-based message, and breakfast for all who attend. It is held outdoors in a park right off of downtown.

The experience was amazing. Of course, being given the honor of speaking a sermon was very exciting, but the one-on-one conversations and prayers were most enjoyable. You can listen to the 20-min message by watching the video below. The topic is Relationship with God, with a focus on being children, servants, and friends with God. The Prodigal Son is studied as an example of this relationship. I hope the Lord uses it for good in your life this very day:

Take the word of God seriously ,God means what he says.The church is fast asleep not depending on God .Do you have time for God?.Is Christ your life?.God is looking for those who are seeking him.

Getting To Know Jesus - 039br /br /What kind of worship pleases God? How do we worhip Him and show true righteousness (right-living)? A pure heart that genuinely loves God and reflects that love in our lives means more to God than pomp and show.
