According to the American Psychological Association (APA), being a traditional man is now considered on par with a mental disorder.

Townhall reports new APA protocols were recently summed up by stating that “research finds that traditional masculinity is, on the whole, harmful.”

Ryon McDermott, PhD, a psychologist at the University of South Alabama helped write the new guidelines, appearing to fall in line with progressive beliefs on such trendy social issues as sexism, patriarchy, male privilege, and gender.

McDermott says his research on “traditional masculinity” showed that “Men socialized in this way are less likely to engage in healthy behaviors.”

American Conservative writer Rod Dreher questions the intent of the APA guidelines, saying he doesn’t trust McDermott “to decide what is and is not healthy masculinity.”
