DENVER — A well-known restaurant in Colorado that has been closed since the coronavirus pandemic took hold in March 2020 has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Casa Bonita in Lakewood is famous for its cliff divers, a 30-foot waterfall and festive decorations. Denver news station KUSA-TV reported that documents say the restaurant filed for bankruptcy protection on April 6. It was the subject of a 2003 episode of TV show “South Park," and the Denver Broncos announced some of their draft picks there in 2018. Representatives from the 46-year-old restaurant did not immediately respond to the TV station's request for comment.
