A front-page New York Times article claimed that, at a World Health Assembly in May, President Trump said the United States opposed a resolution to encourage breastfeeding.

The article, headlined, “U.S. Opposition to Breast-Feeding Resolution Stuns World Health Officials,” got picked up by multiple outlets portraying the Trump administration as against breastfeeding mothers.

But, Trump argued it was “fake news,” tweeting while the U.S. supports breast feeding, “we don’t believe women should be denied access to formula.”

The Federalist notes The New York Times’ extremely negative story left out crucial facts, was based on anonymous sources, and contained false information.
