Culture Warrior Voting 2023-2024

America is waging a war – a culture war, in politics, in the media, in education. We’re looking to honor and celebrate a warrior who has taken on this fight and is working to preserve what’s great about America. The nominees for our Culture Warrior of the Year Award are now official!

Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. is an influential preacher, author, and activist who spreads God’s truth zealously and without fear. John graduated from North Carolina State University where he played football under Coach Chuck Amato. From the battles on the football field to the current-day culture wars, John is a fearless defender of biblical justice.  

He is derided by liberal media as the Book-Banning Pastor. He has spoken at school board meetings in VA, NC, NJ, CA, NV, FL, LA, CO, ID, and PA. He stands against CRT, Queer Theory, and the indoctrination of children in government schools. His viral videos have amassed over 300 million views. 

Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution; his focus is classics and military history... Hanson is the author of hundreds of articles, book reviews, and newspaper editorials on Greek, agrarian, and military history and essays on contemporary culture. In addition to being one of Salem’s nationally syndicated radio talk show hosts, R. Albert Mohler, Jr. is the president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and recognized as one of America’s leading theologians and cultural commentators.

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson is an author, psychologist, online educator, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto. The Jordan B Peterson podcast frequently tops the charts in the Education category. He has written three books, Maps of Meaning, an academic work, presenting a new scientifically-grounded theory of religious and political belief, and the bestselling 12 Rules for Life, and Beyond Order, which have sold more than seven million copies. These finalists were determined by the Salem Editorial Board, after careful review of nominations from radio listeners. These are the best and brightest of the conservative movement, fighting the good fight on a daily basis. They have suffered the slings and arrows of public discontent, but fight on knowing their cause is just and right.
