Stephanie Lundquist-Arora on Fairfax County School Board Issues

RSS Feed

Stephanie Lundquist-Arora, a Fairfax resident and chapter leader for the Independent Women's Network, discusses the significant academic failures and the politicization of school board policies. Recent standardized test results reveal that out of five students in Fairfax County, two failed in math, reading, and science. For economically disadvantaged students, this figure rises to two out of five. Despite these alarming numbers, the school board continues to focus on leftist policies rather than addressing these academic shortcomings. Stephanie also highlights the increasing central administrative staff, now totaling 2,346 individuals, costing $272 million in salaries alone. This comes as student enrollment declines, raising questions about the efficiency and transparency of the school district's spending. Additionally, legal fees have soared to $56 million since 2020, with $14 million spent in the last year alone on cases involving transgender issues and a whistleblower case. The superintendent's salary of $470,000 this fiscal year further underscores concerns about resource allocation in the face of educational failures.
