The gift of prophecy has always been an important gift to the people of God. In fact, in the Old Testament, there were three main offices that God graciously gave His people: prophet, priest, and king. A prophet spoke forth the Word of the Lord. All three roles are perfectly fulfilled in Jesus. As with all of God's good gifts, they focus on Jesus.
